Courses Overview

There are currently six employer members of the Industry Council. If you are interested in getting involved as either a full member of the Council or in being associate member and benefiting from the activities please contact us.

Four new modular
one day courses

for employers are being developed which will cover:

Introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)

what a PLC is, how to connect devices to a PLC and how to program a PLC.

Introduction to Mechatronics and Robotics

– what mechatronics is, mechatronics system elements, types of robotics and programming mechatronic circuits.

Introduction to Industry 4.0

– what Industry 4.0 is, the fundamentals of Industry 4.0, including automation, robotics, Industrial Internet of Things, smart devices, communication methods and using Industry 4.0 equipment.

Interfacing Manufacturing to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

– what is involved in production and manufacturing setups, what ERP is, ERP software, integrating ERP and SQL databases, implementing ERP and using an ERP system
